The Battle Belongs to the Lord

Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we come into agreement with Your Word.

Jesus, You said:

"I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven."

— Matthew 16:19

And You said:

"If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them."

— Matthew 18:19–20

So today, we come into agreement!

We take our stand upon the authority of Your Word and the victory of Jesus Christ.

We forbid every assignment of the enemy intended to hinder, distract, discourage, weaken, divide, intimidate, or interfere with what You have ordained. And we declare that every purpose of God will stand!

✦ ✦ ✦

But Lord, we recognize that this victory does not come through human ability.

"It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of Heaven's Armies."

— Zechariah 4:6

We cannot do this in our own strength, and we don't want to. Jesus, You said:

"Apart from me you can do nothing."

— John 15:5

Therefore, we surrender our strength, our plans, our abilities, and our limitations to You. Holy Spirit, take over! Do what only You can do. Accomplish what human strength could never accomplish.

And like David standing before Goliath, we declare:

"You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of Heaven's Armies."

— 1 Samuel 17:45

We are not coming against this battle in our own name, our own power, or our own strength. WE COME IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

The name above every name.
The name before which every knee must bow.
The name that carries all authority in heaven and on earth.

And therefore we declare over this battle:

"This is what the LORD says: Do not be afraid! Don't be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God's."

— 2 Chronicles 20:15

THE BATTLE IS NOT OURS.
THE BATTLE BELONGS TO THE LORD!

So we will not bow to fear.
We will not surrender to discouragement.
We will not be intimidated by what we see.
We will not allow circumstances to have the final word.

GOD HAS THE FINAL WORD!

The Lord goes before us.
The Lord surrounds us.
The Lord strengthens us.
The Lord fights for us.
And the Lord will accomplish everything He has purposed.

We declare that Jesus Christ is victorious!

He is the Conqueror!
He is the Triumphant One!
He is the Overcomer!
He is the LORD of Heaven's Armies!
He is KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS!

And because we belong to Him, "overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us." — Romans 8:37

✦ ✦ ✦

THE BATTLE BELONGS TO THE LORD!
THE VICTORY BELONGS TO JESUS!
THE GLORY BELONGS TO GOD!

What God has ordained, no enemy can cancel.
What God has opened, no enemy can shut.
What God has purposed, no opposition can overturn.

We come not by might.
We come not by power.
WE COME BY HIS SPIRIT!

We come not with sword, spear, or javelin.
WE COME IN THE NAME OF THE LORD OF HEAVEN'S ARMIES!

And we stand together in faith, in agreement, and in the authority of Jesus Christ declaring:

OUR GOD REIGNS!
OUR GOD FIGHTS FOR US!
OUR GOD HAS THE VICTORY!

In the mighty, matchless, victorious name of

JESUS CHRIST, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS!

AMEN AND AMEN!
